What I got for Xmas :)

Hello ladies, hope you are having a great day and getting ready for New Year :) Today I decided to show you some of  the things I got for Xmas:) I mostly got clothes and jewelry, some hair accessorise.
So here are some of my favorite things:

This will have to be my absolute favorite gifts of all :) (Don't get me wrong, I am very happy and grateful for everything I got,but I was so excited for this one) Minnie Mouse sweater,on the pic you can't see well, but its full of little studs and crystals, and I love it!

Black leather like leggings and white cord skinny jeans both from Stradivarius. When I saw the size on the leather leggings is S I was thinking to myself Oh no,I would hate it if I couldn't squeeze in them, but they are super strechy and so comfy that was a pleasant surprise :)
My new "geek" glasses, came at the perfect time since I needed a new pair anyway and I love them. My son has the super power of destroying my glasses and without them I can't even watch tv or anything,so I am going to try keep these away from him :))

"Fruttini" set - body butter and body spray in the milky orange scent. This is one of my favorite body butters, and I love that it comes in a big 500 ml packaging.

I got some headbands as well,a few necklaces and a bracelet and a few tops,so maybe one of these days I make an Outfit of the day post to show you some of the other stuff as well:)

That's all for today, hope you like it:)

Nails of the Day: Gingerbread man (Fail)

Hello my friends, today as promised new Xmas inspired nail art. I had the idea to do the gingerbread man but the results are not that great. It took me so much time to do it and at the end they turned out somehow messy, which I don't like at all :( Well, maybe it just wasn't my nail art day today....

Cream white as a base, white and red nail art polish for details and brown for the body.
This will probably go by tomorow and if I find the time and patience I will try to do something else.

Nails of the Day: I want presents :)

Hello everyone, hope you are all well and with a good holiday spirit:) Today just a quick post to show you my mani I did thinking of Xmas presents :)

Not the most original idea, and it would look way better if I used a dark color as a base but it's ok,the next one will be better :) I just used a baby blue as a base color and with the gold nail art polish I drew a bow and made my nails look like a lil present :)

Hope you like it,and that you will try it out:)

How I do my nails

Good evening ladies, hope you are doing well.So tonight I am going to show you how I did my nails with the kit I showed you in my post earlier today. Now the pics are not great and don't do much justice to the work I have done but I just could't wait till January when I am getting the new camera, but hope you will be able to see and I will try to explain the process the best I can.
So Let's begin :)

This is the stuff I was using,Uv lamp, nail tips, glue,UV base gel, brush for gel, nail files and buffer blok.
Step 1:  Remove all the nail polish you might have, sanitize your hands
Step 2:  Take care of your cuticles, push them, cut them like usual - this is very important because you don't               want the cuticle extra skin of getting in a way of uv gel cause you might get lifting of the gel later.
Step 3: Cut your nails as short as you can and gently file the surface of the nail so the tips stick better.Remember be gentle, you just need the surface to be a lil rough so go easy with the nail file

Step 4: Now take the tips and see wich size is the right one for each nail.I firs did this for one hand then just took the same size tips for the other.Be sure to check it well because the tips that are too big or too small will not last you very long and are more likely to brake faster.

Step 5: Take the glue and put a lil at the bottom (more thin part of the tip that goes over your nail) Press it and old for a few seconds to make sure its glued well

This is just after I glued the tips on,they are sooooo long! But don't be scared, you are not leaving them like that!

Now these stiletto tips I got are pretty thin and they are very easy to work with,I mean its easy to cut them and file in the shape you want.

Step 6: Cut the tips to the desired lenght! You can cut them short or just a lil to keep all the lenght,it just depends on what you like. Now to make sure they are all the same lenght cut for example the thumb nail from the left hand and then the one from the right. That way you can compare and keep them even.

Step 7: Now that you cut the nails to desired lenght its time for some more filing. Take the nail file and file on the surface of the nail where the tips meat your natural nail to smooth it out.If you got the tips that are thin you will not have to file much. You will know its done when you almost don't see where the tips start as it will be well blended and smooth.

Step 8: Now file the shape you want. Take your time and try to shape all the nails even.I chose to give my nails more almond shape, but you can make them square or spiky or what ever shape you prefer

Step 9: Wash your hands and dry well to get rid of all the dust from filing
Step 10: Take the buffer block and clean any uneven tiny parts from the inside of tips that are left from filing
Step 11: Take your brush and dip it in gel and try to get as close to the cuticles as you can and then cover the all nail.Start better with a thin layer and then see if later you need more. One very important thing: while putting your uv gel on be sure your uv lamp is turned off. When you finish with gel put the jar away from the lamp so you don't destroy it if it gets in contact with the uv light.

Step 12; Time for the uv lamp

Put the four fingers in first and leave the thumb out so you can put it nice by itself. Leave it to cure for at least 2-3 minutes.Repeat with thumb and with the other hand.

Step 13: Take the nail polish of your choice and paint the nails and you are done :)

And that's it! I hope you like and I tried to explain it the best I can.I was to tierd to do any nail art,but I will do that soon :) Now its time for bed:)

NOTE: I am not a professional and I do not claim that this is the right way to do the nails. This is just what I learned from a friend who had a salon and used to do my nails for many years. Also this is the easiest way for me to do it.

Nails of the Day: Just Smile :)

Hello ladies:) Just a quick NOTD post today. With the crazy gloomy weather and rain for the last few days I thought to cheer myself with a bright fun mani.So I went for some cute and simple smiley design.Take a look:

As always, very simple and easy to do: Just a yellow nail polish, black and white nail art polish and a dotting tool to draw the eyes (or you can use a toothpick,or the tip of a bobby pin,or even the tip of a pen)

I know the yellow nail polish doesn't favor my skin tone since I am really really pale, but the idea of cute little smileys won over :)
That's all for today, hope you liked it and that you will try it out :)

Just smile & Be Happy

Nails of the Day: Speach bubbles

Hello ladies, hope you are having a great day and enjoying your Sunday :) After so many days that my nails were a mess I decided to do a super fun and easy nail art - speach bubbles :) So take a look:

First start of with a base color of your choice, I used a teal color polish so the white would stand out,but I think any shade of blue would be good as well. Then take a white nail art polish with a thin brush and draw the shape of speach bubbles. You can do them all the same or draw different shape bubble on each nail.

Wait till the white is 100% dry and take the black nail art polish and start to write the word inside the bubble. I wrote short ones like: LOL, Hi,Yes,No,Hmmm, Who, and some exclamation (!) and question marks (?). I found those most easy to write on such a small surface but feel free to experiment and write what ever you want:)

(I know how bad the quality of the pics is,but it can give you the idea of how it looks. And now I can tell that probably from New Year (if not sooner) you will be able to see good quality pics since I am finally getting a camera I wanted :)

Now I don't like to take credit for something that is not my original idea,so this nail art was inspired by nail art of amazing Robin Moses who really does magic when it comes to nail art. Here is a link so you can check out her fantastic work Robin Moses Nail art

Hope you liked it and that you will try it out

I placed my order :)

Hello my friends:)Hope you are all doing well and enjoying your weekend. For the past week I was really sick,I had a bad cold, followed with a stuffy nose and constant cough, and I just wasn't in the mood to write,or paint my nails,or pretty much do anything. But I feel much better now,and I want to share with you my last purchase. I already talked how I was trying to grow my nails and that I was thinking of buying gel nail kit.I spend some time looking at online stores, ebay and so on and I placed my order on my very own gel nail kit,so I can do my nails at home.

(I haven't ordered this particular kit shown on the pic,its just to give you the idea)

For years I had my nails done in my best friend's salon and she used to do such a great job,I loved my nails. But since I moved from my country four years ago I didn't get my nails done in a salon,I was painting them and doing the manicure by myself. But now I miss my gel nails and I really don't want to spend a fortune to get them done in a salon so I decided to by the supplies and practice :) I pretty much remember well the technique,so I am confident I can do my nails just fine (well,we shall see that). I ordered the UV lamp, nail tips, glue and some other things and I think it should arrive in 10-15 days.

If you are interested to see how I do my gel nails let me know and I will try to make a step by step photo tutorial for you:)

Would you get your nail kit and do your nails yourself or you prefer to get them done by a professional?

Latest obsession - Stiletto nails

Hello ladies, hope you are all doing good :) Today I want to talk about my latest obsession - Stilleto nails:) But before that I have to complain a lil about my own nails, that became so fragile and weak in the last two weeks that I just don't know why?!! They are peeling and just when they grow to the certain point they break:( I always had pretty strong nails that grow fast and I never had a problem with them.Could it be cause of the way I file my nails (I always wear them square, but now I try make it more oval kind of shape)? Anyway,if you know a good nail strenghtner or some nail base that could help, please let me know:)

Now to what post is really about. For a while now I am loving Stiletto nails,I love the shape,I love how they make the hand and fingers look,I love to see all those amazing designs. Now I don't think about stiletto nails like these :

Although I find the nail art very nice I find the lenght and the shape a lil bit on the extreme side, and as I am a wife and a mom and have plenty of work to do around the house, these just are a no - go :)
But I love the idea of something like this:

I think when they are done nicely, and not extra long these kind of stiletto nails can look really good.
Now I have been trying to shape my nails and let them grow so I can get something like stiletto nails but my nails just started to brake and peel and what not :( So I was thinking to buy the stiletto nail tips like these

and do my own nails.Still,I would need to get some more stuff
but I think I could do it.After all after years and years of getting my nails done in my friends salon I learn so much so I think I could try to put it practice :D
What do you think,should I ?

How do you like stiletto nails, would you wear them? Do you always have the same nail shape or you like to switch it up from time to time?
